You ARE creative. Let me inspire you!
Not much time to gab today but I wanted to post pics of the journals I made today. I made them as gifts for some very special people and I decided that since I needed to make them quickly I would use my digital stash. I used ordinary composition notebooks to start. I painted the covers with gesso (both inside and outside covers). You could skip this step if you want. I measured the covers and created digital files sized for the covers and created my digital cover pages. After printing out the cover pages, I rounded the corners and glued them to the notebook using mod podge. I used gentle painter’s tape to cover the black binding on the outside and the lined pages on the inside. I also used wax paper to keep the paper clean while I was painting the outside covers. When it was dry I added the rose ribbon.
I created the digital files using Photoshop Elements 10. The digital files I used include Syndee Nuckles’ Assemble Your Own: Collage Art Ladies, Syndee Nuckles’ Collage Art Collection Biggie, Syndee Nuckles’ ScrapSimple Tools – Styles: Butterfly Shadows 6301 Mini, and Sarah Batdorf’s ScrapSimple Tools – Styles: Basic Shadows 6501. All digital files are from Scrap Girls.
Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think!
