Vintage Hello - Photo Inspiration Challenge

If you have been following along for a bit you will notice that I have been fixed on card challenges lately. I like to do sketch challenges and I’ve done several of them. In this post I will share a card I made for a photo inspiration challenge. I found it on the PaperCrafts Moxie Fab World blog. It is called the Tuesday Trigger challenge.

This particular challenge has been open for about a month and again I am slipping in at the last minute. Today is the deadline for this challenge. Here is the trigger photo.

I used the colors in the room and the patterns in the bed linens and seat as my inspiration and my latest acquisition of My Minds Eye patterned paper was perfect! Here is what I came up with.

The antique sewing machine stamp is from My Mind’s Eye Stella and Rose, the sentiment is from Paper Smooches Salutations set and all the patterned paper is from Lost & Found Two – Sunshine by My Mind’s Eye. The ribbon is Wrights Soft and Easy Hem Tape. I also used Bazzil cardstock, Marcy Uchida punches for the circle and scalloped circle and Stampin’ Up ink.

I used scraps of patterned paper and one of them had a vintage sewing machine printed on it. This gave me the opportunity to use a stamp from a set I had not used yet. I decided to use one of my new Paper Smooches stamps for the sentiment. This sentiment stamp set is more a more traditional style and not the whimsical style that Paper Smooches is known for, but it was perfect for this card and I used a gold ink to coordinate with the papers!

I decided to add to the inside as well just to give it a little something extra.

I hope you like it. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Now I’m off to post it to the Moxie Fab Challenge. Have a great day!
