You ARE creative. Let me inspire you!
I’ve been away for longer than I like but one reason (or excuse) is that I’ve been busy making Valentines. Last year I made a ton of Valentines that were sold for a fundraiser. I couldn’t make enough of them and it made me feel really good that they were so well liked! This year I got a late start but I just couldn’t let the holiday go by without making Valentine cards.
You already know how much I love Paper Smooches. They have so many cute whimsical stamps and sentiments that are easily adapted to make cute whimsical Valentines. Here’s what I came up with this year. I hope you like them as much as I do.
You Turn Me On card was made using Paper Smooches Perpetual Bliss, Boob Tubes, and Primary stamp sets; Monsters and Robots collection patterned paper (Recollections brand from Michael’s); Bazzilred cardstock; Stampin’ Upink, die & paper piercing template; and Ranger Archival Ink.
You Are so Cool card was made using Paper Smooches My Peeps, Chilly Chums, and Primarystamp sets; Jolly Holiday collection patterned paper, (Recollections brand from Michael’s); Marvy Uchida punches (large scalloped heart and heart); Stampin’ Up ink, punch (square), and pink and yellow cardstock; and Ranger Archival Ink.
My Heart is a Flutter card was made using Paper Smooches Giddy Bugs, Pip Squeaks, andPrimary stamp sets; Jolly Holiday collection patterned paper, (Recollections brand from Michael’s); Marvy Uchida punch (heart); Recollections punches (small heart and small flower); Spellbinders die; Stampin’ Up ink, embossing folder, and pink and yellow cardstock; Wiggly Eyes, and Ranger Archival Ink.
I Dig You card was made using Paper Smooches Woofers and Tweeters and Primary stamp sets; Basic Grey‘s Max & Whiskers collection patterned paper. Jolly Holiday collection patterned paper, (Recollections brand from Michael’s); Stampin’ Up ink, die, punch (square), and pink and yellow cardstock; and Ranger Archival Ink.
Because I wanted these cards to be a set, I used the yellow hearts under the sentiments in each of the cards. And here’s a tip I used while assembling the cards with the flag pennants. In order to keep them straight, I lined them up using my fingers at the top of the card. Here’s a photo that shows what I’m talking about.
Well, that’s all for this post. I love to hear from you so please leave me a comment to let me know what you think about my Valentine cards.
