You ARE creative. Let me inspire you!
I’ve been spending some time over this long weekend making cards. I have been too busy for card making and so when I saw this challenge I decided to make time. As someone with too little time for fun; card sketches as a great way to start a project. I LOVE the Sweet Sunday sketches and you can find them on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog.
Here is the sketch for this challenge:
For my card I created a template for the curve using cardboard from a pasta box (I save all kinds of stuff – I love to recycle!) and a bowl to draw the line. I hand cut the templates and the papers as I’m sure you can tell by the less than perfect lines!
I have been playing with a variety of watercolor techniques lately so I tried one on this card. I used Tim Holtz’s Distress Markers by Ranger Ink. Using markers, I covered a piece of clear plastic packaging (more recycling) then sprayed the sheet with water and placed a piece of watercolor paper onto the wet ink. I blotted the excess water & ink with paper towel and dried with a heat tool. I used a punch to get a colored circle for the card. I used Paper Smooches Flap Happy stamp set and DCWV patterned paper.
I think it turned out pretty good. Let me know if you like it!
Til next time…Be You & Be Happy!
