Excuses - Nashville & Holiday Craft Fair

Hello all! It has been too long since my last post and my excuses are just not good enough. I will share them anyway…

Excuse #1: I’ve been travelling again. I was gone 3 weeks in October! My last trip was to Nashville. I’d never been to Nashville so I was happy to be going somewhere I’ve never been. I was there on a business trip but I was able to get out and do a bit of sightseeing. My baby brother is stationed at Fort Campbell KY and he drove down for a quick evening visit. It was great to see him! We had fun in downtown Nashville and even though we didn’t see any stars it was a fun night.

One night I stopped by to see the Grand Ole Opry. It was already closed but at least I got to see it.

Excuse #2: I was crazy busy getting ready for a craft show that my friend Karen and I did last weekend. After all my travelling, I didn’t have nearly as much time as I planned, so the week before the show I was a mad woman making cards, sewing table covers and getting ready for the show.

Karen & I did a show last year that wasn’t terribly successful. After analyzing what we needed to do differently, we decided that the biggest change we needed was to get our cards and journals more visibility. Last year we had lots of baskets on the table with our cards in them. We needed to have some vertical displays so that our cards and gift bags could be seen easily and draw in customers. We all brainstormed the design of our pegboard card displays which our dear husbands (DHs) Tom & Steve constructed for us. My DH Steve made the table displays for our journals. They did a great job don’t you think?

Here are a few more photos from the craft show…

So there are my excuses. I expect to post on a more regular basis and I have some really cute holiday cards to share with you but I’ll save them for the next post. Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned!
