Sketching in my Art Journal

I recently signed up for an annual subscription to Creativebug. They have tons of video lessons, all of which I now have access to, and all designed to teach me new skills or just to inspire me. I’ve been watching some drawing and doodling videos and today I pulled out my art journal and decided to try some doodle drawing. My go-to thing to doodle is flowers but I wanted to try something new. I decided on butterflies after watching a video lesson by Pam Garrison. I tried to fill both pages starting at the bottom left and moving across the pages drawing basic butterflies to fill the space. I used flowers (surprise!) and some heart shapes to fill the small spaces. I added a title just to practice some brush marker writing. Once the page was full, I went back and added detail doodles to each butterfly and finally I colored them with my Stampin’ Up markers. I had so much fun that I’m ready to do more. Maybe next time I’ll try fish! Get out your paper, pens, and markers. You CAN do it too! I know you’ll have as much fun as I did!
