Angel Studio’s November Workshops

The November workshops at Angel Studio were a hit! The Holiday Card workshop was so much fun and I really enjoyed spending the day with some awesome ladies! We made some super cute cards and I can’t wait for my next card workshop.

I’m thinking about an “Special Occasion” card workshop in January so make you list for all those Birthday and Anniversary cards you want to send in 2017 and plan to join me in January (date is TBD but stay tuned for more info).

My BFF Karen Webb from Chocolate Lily Art taught the Altered Journal workshop and it was a blast! I was a student at this workshop and I had a great time making my altered Journal! We all learned some new skills and I know I wasn’t the only one who was already thinking ahead to my next journal. I can’t wait to fill my journal with photos and letters and lots of other goodies!

We spent a lot of time sewing the registers together (a new book making term we learned) and then sewing the registers into the spine. There was a great deal of glue involved and even though it was messy, it was really very cool to be making our own journals from vintage children’s books!

Here are some closeup pics from my journal.

The next workshop is scheduled for Saturday December 3, 2016 from 10 am to 3 pm. We’ll be making Wooden Tree Ornaments. This is a mixed media project involving paint, glitter, words, ribbon and lots of other embellishments. The cost is $30.00 and includes a light lunch. All tools and supplies are provided and you will leave with 4 ornaments. My granddaughters helped me create the samples in the photo below.

I want to thank everyone who joined us for Angel Studio’s very first workshops! You are the reason I opened my studio. I love to learn new things and I really love to share them with others. I believe that all of us have creative talents and I can’t wait to see what you create next!

Til next time…Be You & Be Happy!
