I happen to adore flowers. All flowers, especially wildflowers! I live in the dry desert of Southeastern Arizona and so I get super excited when I see wildflowers!
I’ve been in a floral mood for several weeks. Call it Spring fever after the longest winter of my life! Anyone else feel like that? I don't need a reason though, I just love flowers!
As a Certified Zentangle Teacher, or CZT as we say, I do tend to use skills that I’ve learned and developed practicing the Zentangle Method in all my art. Does that make it all Zentangle inspired? Maybe, why not? One thing I can say with complete confidence is that I did not call myself an artist before my Zentangle discovery. It took a bit of time, but now I know I’m an artist. And it makes me smile when I say it!
Today my life is filled with creating. Some days it’s watercolor flowers, and others it may be a single classic Zentangle tile. And the magic of this is that I am so very HAPPY! And I wonder why it took me so long to find it, this happiness. This is why I teach. I just want to give other beautiful souls the opportunity to gather and create together. To make beautiful art, or to learn that you can!
I guess I want to share Happiness!
And that’s why I’ve added a new monthly mini workshop I’m calling Tangled Up Together. Not sure if I love the name so it may be a “working title”. It’s 90 minutes of creating together online via the magic of Zoom! The first few workshops will be floral themed. In my first session I’ll be introducing a new floral tangle that I’ve deconstructed. It’s a surprise and I hope you’ll join me and be one of the first to learn it!
